A mountain of many peaks
Jabal Fifa stands in Fifa governorate of Jazan region, about 100 km from Jazan city. Part of the Sarawat Mountains, it rises to 1,814 m above sea level, and villages are scattered across its rugged terrain. Of its several peaks the highest is Al-Absiyah, which looks out over the surrounding ranges.
Three main roads, about 32 km in all, link the settlements at the top with Jazan city and the rest of the Kingdom. Wadi Damad runs to the east and Wadi Jura to the north, meeting at Al-Mahhah west of the mountain, and the hot spring of Al-Wughrah lies nearby.
Green all year
The climate is mild throughout the year and rain falls in every season, so dense trees cover much of the mountain. Its farms grow grain, fruit, vegetables and aromatic plants, and above all coffee, prized for its quality.
The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture oversees the mountain's ecosystems and biodiversity. The Quality of Life Program lists Jabal Fifa among the Kingdom's most prominent tourist attractions, and adventurous visitors come for bungee jumping, skydiving and wingsuit flying.
