Maraya, the mirrored hall of the Ashar Valley

A building clad entirely in mirrors that hands the desert back to itself, and AlUla's stage for its biggest nights.

A building made of reflections

Maraya, Arabic for mirrors, stands in the Ashar Valley, about a 20-minute drive from central AlUla. Its walls are made entirely of reflective glass, and it is registered in Guinness World Records as the world's largest mirrored building. It received an Architizer A+ Award in 2020.

It was designed by Florian Boje of the Milan studio Gio Forma, who has said that the reflections give a deep sense of the connection between human heritage and nature.

On stage

Maraya opened as the main venue of the first Winter at Tantora festival in 2018. Its 500-seat concert hall has since hosted Andrea Bocelli, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Seal, as well as an Andy Warhol exhibition and the Hegra Conference of Nobel Laureates.

In 2021 it hosted the Gulf Cooperation Council summit named for Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah. There is currently no public access to the interior outside events.
