Jeddah Season, a summer of shows by the sea

Concerts, theatre, sport and the Red Sea itself, spread across the city as part of the Saudi Seasons.

How it began

Jeddah Season is one of the entertainment seasons of the Saudi Seasons initiative, with a programme of arts, music, culture, leisure and sport. Its first edition, in the summer of 2019, ran across five main areas: Historic Jeddah, al-Hamra Corniche, the Waterfront, King Abdullah Sports City and Obhur, with events also held at King Abdullah Economic City.

That year brought the Jeddah Shopping Festival, theatre, concerts, daily fireworks and championships in sailing, surfing and sport fishing. After the COVID-19 pandemic paused it for two years, the season returned in 2022 and drew six million visitors, more than a million of them tourists from 129 countries.

2022 and 2024

The 2022 edition counted 2,800 events, among them 20 concerts, nine plays and Cirque du Soleil at King Abdullah Sports City; its largest zone, City Walk, covered 282,000 m².

The 2024 edition, themed Once Again, opened on 27 June 2024 at the Jeddah Art Promenade with drone shows and fireworks, and offered more than 5,000 events across five zones to around two million visitors.
